Dad

Dad, so many things come to mind
Whenever I hear your name.
I know without you in my life
Things will never be the same.

I remember all the times
I always looked to you.
I knew whatever was happening
You’d always help me through.

Dad, who will I turn to for answers
When life just doesn’t make sense.
Who will know just what to say
When all the pieces just don’t fit.

Oh, dad if I could turn back time
To once more hear your voice.
I’d tell you out of all the dads
You’d still be my #1 choice.

Please know I will always love you,
And no one could ever take your place.
Years may come and years may go,
But your memory will never be erased.

Today, Jesus, as your listening
From your home above,
Would you go and find my dad
