How it all began…

Well I never thought the day would come where I would have a blog.  First of all, I didn’t even know or understand what a blog was. I mean WTF?!?  I see them every where on the internet, but starting one wasn’t that easy.

I started researching one day when I got a phone call.  I hung up the call and started researching again when I hear “Moooooommmmmm!” Yelling from upstairs. “Whhhhaaaattt?!?!” I yell back. “I need some toilet paper!” my son says. “Well that sounds like a personal problem!” I reply.  Then I go back to researching.  I’m deep in thought when I nearly have a heart attack as my phone starts ringing again!  I look at the caller id and think, what the heck, why is Dawson calling me?  “Hello” I say with curiosity. “Mom, what the heck!  I need some dang toilet paper!”  I reply with sarcasm, “I’m trying to research about blogs so I guess we both have a problem since I keep getting interrupted! I’ll be there in a second. Just play a game on your phone or something!” I hang up and go back to researching.  It was quite a chore trying to figure out how to start a blog.  Apparently, you have to acquire a domain then set that up. Once that’s set up you have to find a way to add content to your domain.  Hmmmm, this seems pretty complicated.  I was deep in thought when my phone rings again. “Moooommmm, my poop is starting to dry on my butt! Pleeeaaaase get me some toilet paper!” “Ok…ok son. Don’t get your panties in a wad!”  Geez, I realized in that moment as a mom I’m lucky to get five minutes to myself!  I mean who sits down to go to the bathroom and doesn’t make sure they have toilet paper?  Then how does lack of preparation on his part constitute an emergency on my part?  I’m mom…also known as the local superhero.  So yes, I had to stop what I was doing to get him some dang toilet paper!

This is how I know that starting a blog is important.  I’m stressed to the max.  My mom says this is a good way to not only release my stress, but share my stories with others in hopes that in some way they will help them.  I also hope that one day when I’m gone my kids can look back and realize that although life can be stressful you have to sometimes stop and find the humor in it!  Stay tuned…more stories coming soon to a blog near you!
